Job Role: Business Development Manager
Job type: Full-time
Salary: £56,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across gyms, fitness centres, sports organisations, retailers, and corporate wellness programmes.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to support long-term commercial growth.
• Developing and executing structured sales and market entry strategies to increase revenue and expand market presence.
• Negotiating commercial terms, contracts, and partnership agreements in line with the Company’s growth objectives.
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and new growth opportunities within the health and nutrition sector.
• Collaborating with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure alignment between product offerings, branding, and customer demand.
• Monitoring sales performance, preparing reports, and providing insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
• Representing Gains & Grains at industry events, fitness expos, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
• Supporting the development of new distribution channels, including digital platforms and subscription-based services.
• Ensuring all business development activities align with the Company’s values, quality standards, and long-term sustainability goals.
Key Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in a business development, sales, or commercial management role, preferably within the health, fitness, food, beverage, or sports nutrition sector.
• Demonstrable track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop and implement effective sales and growth strategies.
• Experience in negotiating contracts and managing key client and partner relationships.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret market data, sales performance, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
