Job Role: Business Development Manager
Job type: Full-time

Salary: £56,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week




Duties and Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across gyms, fitness centres, sports organisations, retailers, and corporate wellness programmes.

•⁠ ⁠Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to support long-term commercial growth.

•⁠ ⁠Developing and executing structured sales and market entry strategies to increase revenue and expand market presence.

•⁠ ⁠Negotiating commercial terms, contracts, and partnership agreements in line with the Company’s growth objectives.

•⁠ ⁠Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and new growth opportunities within the health and nutrition sector.

•⁠ ⁠Collaborating with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure alignment between product offerings, branding, and customer demand.

•⁠ ⁠Monitoring sales performance, preparing reports, and providing insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.

•⁠ ⁠Representing Gains & Grains at industry events, fitness expos, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and credibility.

•⁠ ⁠Supporting the development of new distribution channels, including digital platforms and subscription-based services.

•⁠ ⁠Ensuring all business development activities align with the Company’s values, quality standards, and long-term sustainability goals.

Key Skills and Experience:

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience in a business development, sales, or commercial management role, preferably within the health, fitness, food, beverage, or sports nutrition sector.

•⁠ ⁠Demonstrable track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.

•⁠ ⁠Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop and implement effective sales and growth strategies.

•⁠ ⁠Experience in negotiating contracts and managing key client and partner relationships.

•⁠ ⁠Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret market data, sales performance, and industry trends to inform decision-making.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

•⁠ ⁠Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
